National Coaches Day 2021

Terry Rose, Football Coach, Capital High School

“Coach Rose puts teaching his student-athletes how to be better individuals and servant leaders above winning football games. His passion for his team has made them better students, better community members and better teammates.”
-Jayme McCann, Sales Pro BSN SPORTS

Laura Tolzmann, Girls Soccer, Basketball and Softball Coach, Lake City High School

“Coach Tolzmann embodies what it means to be a servant leader. Whatever she can do to support her athletes and students on and off the field, she’s willing to do. There are countless examples of the personal sacrifices she’s made to elevate the student and athlete experience at Lake City High School.”

Ben Soto, Football and Baseball Coach, Asst. AD, Cate School

“For over 35 years, Coach Soto has coached sports and been a huge influence on the many students that have played for him and cheered for his teams. Coach Soto is about putting kids first. Always making it more than just Xs and Os, he cares for each player as if they were his own child. I was able to experience that first as a player and then as an assistant coach. Ben has had a positive influence on my life and the life of thousands of kids. He truly is the example of what a coach should aspire to be.”
-Rich Alvarado, Sales Pro BSN SPORTS

Brian Morse, Basketball Coach, Cascade Christian High School

“Brian isn’t just a coach that I do business with. I’m also a part of his coaching staff. So, I get to see how he interacts with his players and most importantly, how he tries to develop them as men first. He always cares more about his players and staff than he does himself. He is the definition of a servant leader and someone I try to model my professional, coaching, and personal life after.”
-Jeremy Frantz, Sales Pro BSN SPORTS

Christina Morgan, Volleyball Coach, Lake Cormorant High School

“Coach Morgan goes above and beyond for her school and community. She helps host a Dig Pink event that donates to the Dig Pink Organization for Breast Cancer research. She also heads up a food drive in the school every year to benefit the local food pantry, often getting upwards of 5,000 cans of food donated by her school. Along with all this, she has won five State Championships and many Coach of the Year honors. Her team is a State Scholar-Athlete team and she has sent many players to the college ranks.”
-Rhonda Guice, Sales Pro BSN SPORTS

Jordan St. Germaine, Football Coach, Taholah High School

“Coach St. Germaine is always busy doing something for the kids in his community. He started as a substitute teacher and is now the AD and has since taken over the football program because of coaches quitting during the pandemic. He cares deeply about the kids on the reservation and wants them to have the best experience possible. He has implemented grade checks, taken the kids to college exposure events, and tried to talk to them about life after high school and outside of Taholah. He is someone I would want in my corner any day of the week. Taholah is lucky to have him.”
